Can't even deal with busted ass unmarked & potholed roads. I imagine one lane gravel roads are real howlers for those Piles of crap. Taking shortcuts with your algo like this are a bad move; the only sensible way to do things is to know the extents of the vehicle, and where you are wrt/ the road. But, that's actually more effort to program, so of course they didn't do it.
Anyone paying attention knows that this is just shutting down the competition; this is how the oil biz works. Getting along with governments around the world is all about bribes.
