There is nothing in the constitution that would prevent a state from “appointing” its presidential electors by letting illegals vote. Nothing. Think about it, if the state doesn’t even have to let ANYONE vote, how and why would it not be allowed to let “illegals” vote if it cared to? Of course a state could allow illegals to vote in the “appointment” of the states members to the electoral college, because it could choose to appoint their electors by using a lottery.

If the state “elected” its “most numerous branch of the legislature” by a ballot that was open to members of ISIS living in Syria as well as to citizens in the state, then guess what? THAT is how they would then be allowed to vote for their congressmen and senators. There is nothing else to it. The provision is straightforward. It is left entirely to the states to decide who is eligible to elect their congressmen and senators.

The Republican establishment will throw the election to Hillary. There will be no third party. There will be a shifting of funds.

When Trump's supporters learn in November that the Republican establishment has taken a dive, they will enter the ranks of the permanently alienated. They will get even in future elections.

Then Tea Party members should make their move. The Republican Party is wobbling. "When something is wobbling, push it."

The country has always been rotten, full of coercive busybodies eager to use state power to punish their neighbors whose conduct, creed, or ethnicity did not please them. The country has always been teeming with hotheads eager to go to war with practically anyone who seemed to them suitable for killing. The country has always been ruled by crooked politicians and scheming, would-be crony capitalists. Rotten, rotten, rotten to the core from the get-go.

Yet it was always rescued, redeemed, and pulled back from the abyss by the legions of basically decent people who left their neighbors alone, who worked hard and well to supply consumers with valued goods, who discovered better, more productive ways of producing and altogether new goods and means of production to delight people and make their lives better.
