They attempt to tax & confiscate property from the church, then the christians predictably close the largest tourist draw to Jerusalem (the church of the Holy Sepulcher) and the catholic church tells its' followers that the Holy Land is no longer welcome to Christians. Now Israel has "frozen" the legislation indefinitely, but the damage is already done. One hopes this news spreads to the evangelicals here to show that the Israeli government is not worth defending.
