This article was perhaps the most hilariously shrill. Guns are neo-confederate symbols of oppressing blacks? HAHAHA, maybe if you presume all of the racist gun bans for blacks under Jim Crow still existed. Oddly, though the NYT had a front page editorial as well, the lack of humorously ludicrous claims makes me feel they were just "mailing it in".
