Given the rate of increase in the debt, it's not like this latest debt enabling law would have made a difference; it was a fait accompli. On the other hand, rates hitting 3% means that 100% of federal revenues are swallowed entirely by interest payments. Which means this is indeed a very real point of no return for the feds. Something's gotta give sooner than later.
