Remember, in America, fraud is the fundamentals. Just repeat falsehoods until you and everyone else believes them, and call it healthy. No wonder these clowns are overwhelmingly egalitarians, their entire existence is a revolt against nature.
Not that doing so is inherently a bad idea; however not being at peace with one's eccentricities does not lead to good outcomes due to unrealistic expectations of those around you. People understand and accept a person who chooses eccentricity and owns their decisions; they sense weakness in the outsider desperately wishing to fit in.
The Clinton power couple is the poster boy for this. People sense the confident lack of concern in Bill about his being totally full of BS. Hillary, by contrast, tries to act like she isn't just another lying politician. I can tell you which one people like better, despite both being total heels.
UPDATE: Kareem Abdul Jabar has a lulzy take:
I'm a short man trapped in an NBA player's body!
He's more or less saying the same thing I'm saying here. It's fine to go against the grain, just don't lie to yourself and others about it. Lying is a character defect, y'know.
