The perennial problem of empires. Basically the same problem as the Russians and Americans. Everyone pretends there is no problem until stuff like the battle of the Java Sea or the SMO happens. The question here is whether the Chinese military purges here are what you expect - further cementing corruption - or actually rooting out the rot. I suppose we'll find out when Taiwan finally kicks off.
