Study suggests the same phenomenon exists across all cultural groups; that this is basically just a 'trying to impress foreigners' instinct amongst tribal groups. I tend to agree; we all instinctively are aware of the impact of first impressions. Nevertheless, the racists on both sides of the aisles will have a field day with this one.
