They say they just want them to move servers to Iran, but any ones based in the USA would immediately land on the OFAC shit list if they did so. As such, they'll simply blanket ban all Iranian IPs at the deadline. Frankly, they'd already be *conditionally* banning any Iranian IP that comes accross if they didn't want to be hit with the USG's hammer. As far as whatsapp, they profess to log nothing, so it would be hard for em to know other than the NSA telling them about the traffic. Anyways, this essentially will ban any direct connections to these servers, further pushing Iranians onto using VPNs for everything.
They're probably right. The same people who wet themselves seeing someone walking around for their health in the neighborhood and call the cops will definitely get their kids chipped.
A lot of the plastics used to cover parts on the circuit boards for hard drives are made of bakelite. Back in the late 1990s/early 2000s, I remember having to rescue data after judicious application of a freezer, as the bakelite in the circuit board's components had warped & cracked with age and high heat.
Good on him. Guy definitely has a head on his shoulders. Stumbled on to it after seeing folks still getting scammed by M$ into upgrayedd to Win10 being in the news.
Oh noes, they explode, better ban 'em! You'll have to ban laptops, electric cars, etc too, since they all have the same possible weakness with their batteries.
I suspect an alternative form of proof may be made now that definitive analysis of the pattern can be made, having the exhaustive set available for analysis.
Interesting. I'm a bit more of the mind that this is more about the fed being painted into a corner due to this flattening (and always lowering) yield curve being needed to finance the forever war. Ed is right that rising rates would likely actually stimulate the economy at this point, but he neglects the impact that would have on government financing (and the subsequent chimpout that would cause).
