What all of these rather different cases have in common is that none of the people who were deprived of a livelihood in the name of fighting racism appear to have been guilty of actually perpetuating racism.Anti-Racism of the left is like their Anti-Fascism. E.G. like the rest of politicians, they do the opposite of what they say; if they were successfully fighting their cause, they'd have to disband.
If a lot of Americans come to feel that those who supposedly oppose racism are willing to punish the innocent to look good in the publicβs eyes, they could well grow cynical about the enterprise as a whole.A little late for that, dear. The entirety of the right realize that "racist" means "I didn't pull the straight democrat ticket lever".
Someone once said that it is easier to imagine the end of the world than to imagine the end of capitalism. It is a plausible formulation, even in its comical effect. And yet, the current crisis proved the opposite. Capitalism was remarkably easy to stopβor at least to interrupt. All that was needed was a genuine environmental crisis, a crisis where the external conditions for a capitalist economy were suddenly removed. All it took was a police state, as has been true many times before.
They saw the role of state institutions β the tax office, law enforcement, the judiciary β not as upholding certain rules by which all economic actors had to operate, but rather as a βpredatory machineβ that could be used to destroy rivals and seize their assets. So, they were clear-headed. That is in essence what the state is from top to bottom everywhere. No wonder Putin wears the crown.
