Greek Voting: The young carried it πŸ”—
1436255072

Almost universally voted against their own enslavement, while the geezers voted to preserve their pensions at any cost. The true nature of the situation is revealed for all to see.

The young correctly see they have nothing to lose by purging the system of the rot, as they are crushed by it rather than trying to balance atop it:
No road is easy, but I prefer to be free and poor than some banker's or a German politician's economic bitch slave.

I want all of them to get the f*** out of my country and let me be. I also want all the corrupt politicians in jail. Do I ask too much?
I like the proto leave-me-aloneism that this "letter from the youth" ends on.

And why he's rooting ready for Hillary.
Bottom line: There is little hope for the near future. A lot more ground work is needed with the masses. I'm talking a lot. But we don't want some kind of leader who will create even greater collapse than what we are already facing. There is no way to know what would emerge out of a great collapse, but most likely it would not be good.

If we can't get a clear libertarian candidate,we need a candidate that can be easily hated, will maintain relative stability, but who could attempt to oppress in a manner that the masses would recognize as oppression and cause them in knee-jerk fashion to begin to want less government.
Shouldn't be hard with any candidate who isn't sold as some radical messiah (and actually delivers, unlike the ersatz messiah of Obama).

My Police state, tis of thee πŸ”—
1436253935

Excellent post by a blogger I've newly discovered:
The term β€œpolice state” is not a well-defined one, but I think most people would agree that such regimes are characterized by extensive surveillance of the population; a huge number of arbitrary laws punishable by disproportionate penalties; a slow and arbitrary court system in which the outcome of important cases is essentially pre-ordained; a requirement that ordinary citizens carry identity documents everywhere and present them to officials on demand (β€œpapers, please!”); a bloated police force whose powers are limited only by the imaginations of officials and whose members are able to inflict violence upon anyone they choose without any consequences whatsoever or recourse of any kind for the victims; and a powerful bureaucracy which regularly violates the laws which supposedly constrain it and ignores due process when it proves inconvenient. For good measure, let’s throw in worshipful reverence of officials and a media which largely parrots every press release those officials come out with, and I think you’d be hard-pressed to come up with some way in which the US isn’t a police state.
Their last July 4th post is great too.
